Speakers

Gaëtan Masson

Gaëtan Masson is the Task Manager of IEA PVPS Task 1, "Strategic PV Analysis & Outreach." He is the founder and CEO of the Becquerel Institute, a Belgian consultancy and research organization focused on solar PV's role in the energy transition. Gaëtan Masson is also a co-founder of the European Solar Manufacturing Council, which promotes competitive solar manufacturing in Europe. His expertise lies in analyzing global PV market trends and driving strategic insights for the solar industry.

 

Izumi Kaizuka

Izumi Kaizuka is the Director and Principal Analyst at RTS Corporation in Tokyo, specializing in PV market analysis, policy, and business models. As the Deputy Task Manager and Japan's representative of Task 1 (Strategic PV Analysis & Outreach) at IEA PVPS, she plays a vital role in shaping the program's strategic direction. Izumi is also a co-author of the IEA PVPS report, "Trends in Photovoltaic Applications," and leads various industry committees in Japan. She was honored with the "Special Award" at PVSEC in 2017 for her contributions to the PV industry.

Jarand Hole - Moderator

Jarand Hole has represented Norway in both the IEA PVPS Executive Committee and Task 1 for over five years. As an electrical engineer, Jarand has been working on solar energy, electrification and new technologies impacting the power markets in the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate since 2018. In parallel, Jarand is currently pursuing a PhD on solar power integration in electricity markets.
