New ISES Cyprus President elected

ISES is happy to announce the election of Dr. Kleanthis Nicolaides as the new President of our ISES section in Cyprus, ISES Cyprus.

Dr. Nicolaides, a Physicist and Meteorologist, is the former Director of the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus and has taken office as the new ISES Cyprus President on 17 January 2025. 

Dr Nicolaides experience in meteorology, climate science, and sustainable energy aligns with the mission and objectives of ISES, and in his new role, Dr Nicolaides is eager to contribute to the advancement of our organziations shared goals.

ISES extends a very warm welcome to Dr Nicolaides and we are looking forward to many years of fruitful cooperation!

Just last year, in 2024, ISES Cyprus welcomed the global solar community for a succesfull EuroSun 2024 conference in Limassol, a conference we look back on with fond memories!
