August Webinar: Solar in South Africa

On August 15, ISES is happy to present the webinar The Sun: a double-barrelled energy source. How are we utilising this in South Africa? initiated by Dr. Karen Surridge of the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI).

This webinar is aimed at giving a brief overview of the energy situation in South Africa. It will then focus on the utilization of solar energy in support towards energy security for the country. One of the main focus areas willd include the SOLTRAIN project and its initiatives with pilot and demonstration facilities in southern Africa. It is also important to note that utilising solar heat as a renewable energy source becomes a very effective energy efficiency measure for implementation in grid load reduction - learn more and register here!
