The 1st lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be with Dr. Ameena Saad Al-Sumaiti. Her talk is titled "A policy reform towards funding regulations of solar energy projects".The lecture start at 12:00 PM GMT.
Dr. Ameena Saad Al-Sumaiti received a B. Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University, United Arab Emirates, in 2008, and the M. A. Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. She was a Visiting Assistant Professor with MIT, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2017. Ameena received over 30 awards and funded projects,.
She is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a member of the Advanced Power and Energy Center at Khalifa University Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Her research interest includes intelligent systems, energy economics, and energy policy.

The 2nd lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be with Prof. Qingtai Jiao. His talk is titled "Solar District heating technologies, applications and policies in China". The lecture starts at 6:30 AM GMT.
He is Vice President and Chief Engineer of Solareast holdings Co., Ltd.(China). He has nearly 20 years of experience in solar thermal utilization product development and technology research, with more than 30 invention patents. He is the Deputy Director of the National Solar Energy Standardization Technical Committee of China, and participated in the formulation of more than 30 national solar energy standards.
He also leads Subtask B of the IEA-SHC Task55, Convenor of ISO TC180/WG3 and Gold Member of the International Solar Energy Society, ISES.

The 3rd lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be with Dr. Vassiliki Drosou. Her talk is titled "Thermosiphon solar systems in Greece: An analysis of a success story". The lecture starts at 8:40 AM GMT.
Dr. Vassiliki Drosou is Head of the Solar Thermal Systems Department of the Greek Research Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES). She is also Manager of Solar Keymark Network (SKN), Technical Secretary of CEN TC312 "Thermal solar systems and components" and leader of Subtask D “Standardization and Certification” of the IEA Task 64/IV “Solar Process Heat”. She is also a Board Member of Greek Solar Thermal Industry Association (EBHE).

The 4th lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be with Dr. Andreas Hauer. His talk is titled "The Role of Thermal Energy Storage in our Future Energy System". The lecture starts at 12 PM GMT.
Dr. Andreas Hauer studied Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, Germany. He made his PhD at the technical University in Berlin. Now is Head of the Division “Energy Storage” at the Bavarian Center for Applied Energy Research, ZAE Bayern. Dr. Hauer is an international known expert on energy storage in general and specialized on thermal energy storage. He is leading working groups on material development for thermal energy storage and on “Flexible Sector Coupling by the Implementation of Energy Storage” within the technology network of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Energy Storage Program.
He is member of the Board of directors of the International Solar Energy Society, ISES. On the national level he is member of the board of directors of the 2012 established Bundesverband Energiespeicher (BVES), German Energy Storage Association. In this position he is responsible for R&D activities within the association.

he 5th lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be Dr. Phoebe Koundouri. Her talk is titled "The Sustainability Transition in Europe: SDGs, EGD, NGEU and MFF". The lecture starts at 6:30 AM GMT.
Professor Dr. Phoebe Koundouri holds a PhD and MPhil in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Cambridge (UK). She is Professor (Chair) of Sustainable Development (Economics and Econometrics) at the School of Economics at Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece) and she is the elected President of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) (with more than 1200 scientific member institutions, from more than 75 different countries).
Prof. Koundouri is listed in the 1% of most-cited women economists in the world, with 15 published books and more than 250 published scientific papers.

The 6th lecture with our Keynote Speakers will be with Kehkashan Basu. Her talk is titled "The Last Decade of Action : Youth Engagement in the adoption of Clean Energy Solutions". The lecture starts at 1:40 PM GMT.
Youth leader, global influencer, environmentalist, champion of children’s rights, TEDx speaker, author, peace and sustainability campaigner and a passionate advocate of women’s rights, 19 year old Kehkashan Basu is a trail blazer who has been challenging the status quo and breaking social structures and taboos which impede the progress and rights of future generations. Winner of the 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize, Kehkashan is a tireless advocate for the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
She is a United Nations Human Rights Champion and the youngest ever Global Coordinator for the UN Environment Program’s Major Group for Children & Youth. A National Geographic Young Explorer and a Climate Reality Leader, in 2018 she was named one of Canada's Top25 Women of Influence. Kehkashan is the Founder President of the social innovation enterprise Green Hope Foundation, which provides young people in 16 countries a networking platform to engage in the sustainable development process.
