Technical tour to Shams-1 site Located in western Abu Dhabi, Shams 1 is the largest renewable energy project in operation in the Middle East. It occupies 2.5 square kilometers and has a capacity of 100 megawatts. The solar field has 768 parabolic trough collectors to generate clean, renewable electricity. The technical tour will take place on Sunday 29 October 2017. All conference participants and guests are invited and welcome to join. The technical tour is an extra cost (USD75) and may be purchased during registration. If you have already registered, please log in again and add the technical tour. |

Workshop: Connecting young professionals with the future of solar |

By collaborating on a workforce preparation session during the joint conference, the Global Solar Council and Student Energy will provide a unique opportunity for connecting young people with the skills, experience, and networks they need to succeed in the solar workforce. This workshop is open for all registered participants of the SWC 2017 / SHC 2017. There is no extra charge to attend this workshop. |
