ISES at GSC General Meeting

The International Solar Energy Society, represented by President Dave Renné took part in the 2019 Global Solar Council General Meeting on occasion of Solar Power International in Salt Lake City from 23-26 September 2019.

ISES holds a seat on the GSC Board of Directors and is in close cooperation with the GSC, for example introducing the GSC on a recent ISES webinar.

The 2019 General Meeting focused on presentations from its five committees, focusing on the association’s strategic activity plan and electing a new Board and Officers for 2020. The meeting concluded with an optimistic outlook as the GSC finds that the solar market is poised for a new growth phase powered by the decarbonization of the economy, innovation and cost reductions.
