ISES contribution to 100% RE Report
The International Solar Energy Society as member of the IRENA Coalition for Action is proud to share the release of the second edition of the coalitions white paper on 100% renewable energy.
Under the title of "Towards 100% renewable energy: utilities in transition" the coalition members build on several case studies and first-hand interviews with utilities, outlining a broad variety of experiences and lessons learned from utilities undertaking the transition to 100% renewable energy. The paper also includes updated mapping of 100% renewable energy targets at the national and subnational levels. The paper consists of the mapping of 100% renewable energy targets on both a national as well as a subnational level, an analysis of the role of utilities in the energy transformation, key takeaways, lessons learned as well as nation-level, regional/state-level as well as city/municipal-level utilities case studies.
